Being the Wraith Wizard is hard enough. Adding “Commander” to the title is a nightmare.

Tyson Hale thought he’s earned a rest after stopping Veildrax and putting the Titan General Dragus in the dirt. Instead, he’s been rewarded with a promotion he never asked for and a holy order of demons about as battle-read as a sack of wet flour.

Accompanied by two pirate friends and a lethal orc warrior, Tyson leads a doomed march into the heart of Draco Canyon. The mission is simple: find the next Titan General and end him. The problem is, Tyson’s internal operating system is having a mental breakdown.

In the Wasteland, Tyson only had to look out for number one. Now, he has eighty-three lives riding on every tactical decision. He needs Rune – the goddess-machine living in his soul- to navigate the chaos, but the ancient Corruption is poisoning her mind. As her sanity fractures, her counsel becomes a minefield of glitches and volatile impulses.

Tyson Hale never wanted to lead, but with a unit to protect and a goddess to save, he’s about to find out exactly how much a commander can lose.
